Worship and Celebration
Team leader: Fred Wimmer
Would you like to coordinate with the juniors and seniors in the RE program and plan a Sunday service focusing on Green Sanctuary goals?
Would you like to be in charge of the “Green Corner” in the library?
Religious Education
Team leader: Carol Straughn
The RE program will focus on environmental issues on the first Sunday of each month.
The current need is on the Garden Team(starting with 65 tomato seedlings. The RE youngsters planted the seeds March 2! They (seeds and kids) need a Garden!
Would you like to obtain a program for the 10am Adult Forum and RE monthly topics:
eating locally
wind power (for Kite Day!),
water conservancy to tie in with our selected service project, The Wolf River Conservancy.
Would you like to contribute and maintain CORnergreen wiki; information about local activities; links to web; monthly local activities, etc?
Would you like to make contact with other worshiping communities like Interfaith Power and Light; Calvary Church?
Earth Justice
Team leader: Carol Ekstrom
Would you like to be our contact to an environmental group like Wolf River Conservancy, Sierra Club, Greenway, Botanic Gardens, etc? If you are already a member of one of these groups you would be helping all of us.
Would you like to build a compost bin and the accompanying garden?
Sustainable Living
Team leader: Helen Towns
Would you like To develop a plan to recycle paper, plastic, card board, etc. at church?
Would you like To execute the low-cost/no-cost energy savings measures identified in the audit?
Would you like To work with the Long Range Planning Architects?
Would you like To lobby the City of Memphis to include the church's zip code in the curbside recycling program?
